Chandigarh, December 31:

Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh today wished a happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year-2018 to people across the globe, with the optimism that the year would usher in a new era of growth and development for Punjab.

In a message, the Chief Minister extended greetings to the people of the state, as well Punjabis living in other parts of the world, on the dawn of New Year, and exhorted them to work zealously to ensure development and progress.

Exuberating confidence that New Year would bring joy, peace, and success for all Punjabis, Capt. Amarinder Singh urged the people to make a firm resolve to build Punjab as a frontrunner state in the country through inclusive growth so that the fruits of development percolate to the grassroots level, especially to ameliorate a lot of poorest of poor.

The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to propel the state on the path of growth, besides cementing the bonds of communal harmony, peace, amity, and brotherhood.
