"Even though the bill has 'barley' been signed into law, these companies have already pledged to hire more workers and invest more back into their businesses," he continued.

The congressman cited reports from a variety of news outlets quoting officials in the wine, distillery and brewery industries who will be hiring more employees, upgrade facilities and possibly increase production as a result of the GOP tax plan.

Congressional Republicans and President scored their first legislative victory earlier this month with the passage of the tax overhaul.

The legislation will give federal excise tax relief for two years to U.S. brewers and beer importers.

The plan cuts the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 21 percent, and repeals the ObamaCare individual mandate.

Democrats say the plan favors corporations and the wealthy and it remains widely unpopular among the public.
