Baby born in convenience store

gave birth on the floor of a neighborhood market last night. gene haagenson shows us that dramatic surveillance video. reporter intro: it was a shock to the folks at the el parian market in southeast fresno. they didn't expect to deliver a baby last night. but that's what happened when a familiar customer came in?then suddenly went into labor and gave birth. pkg the el parian neighborhood market and carniceria, meat shop is not a place anyone expects a baby to be born but that's what happened tuesday night. [take: track] [ store surveillance cameras show the pregnant woman walking into the store. she's shopping, but then?goes to a table, and kneels. store owner issamer sepulveda tells us what happend. [take sot] [notes:bite at 15228] <issamer sepulveda, co- owner verbatim> we had this lady here who came in to buy a soda, and then she told the cashier to call the ambulance because she was feeling like she was going to store employees started calling 9-1-1 but said nobody answered. <no cg verbatim> so then i started listening to her screaming so then i came to the carniceria and then i was like what's going on?she was right there like bending, oh my god, oh my god i am having my baby. within just a couple of minutes the baby is coming out? [take sot] [notes:bite at 15344] <no cg verbatim> and then it happened so quickly everything happened so quickly?. then the butcher took off his apron, then he catched the baby, then i cut the cord. [take: track] but issamer, herself the mother of two babies thought this child didn't look right. [take sot] <no cg verbatim> the baby was purple and i was like why was he purple, what's going on?and i was so worried praying god oh my god, help me, for you know, for the health of this baby. a store employee ran home to get a suction syringe to clear the baby's airway. they kept the child warm until the ambulance arrived. facebook postings by a store employee show the baby being by taken by paramedics. the mother and child went to a fresno hospital. issimar is still overwhelmed by what happened in her little store.
