New Year’s Eve celebrations: There’s no shame in staying home to party in front of your TV, as long as you vacuum up the confetti by February. Among the prime-time offerings are “Fox’s New Year’s Eve With Steve Harvey: Live From Times Square” (8 p.m. Sunday, Fox). Joining Harvey on his first NYE special are Celine Dion, the Backstreet Boys, Neil Diamond and Flo Rida. Another newcomer to the NYE programming scene is Andy Cohen, who teams up with Anderson Cooper on the “CNN New Year’s Eve Celebration” (8 p.m., CNN). Cohen replaces longtime co-host Kathy Griffin. Then there’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2018” (8 p.m., ABC). It has the rock band Imagine Dragons performing, along with Mariah Carey, Walk the Moon and others. Last, but certainly not least is “All-American New Year” (10 p.m., Fox News Channel), co-hosted by Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery and Jesse Watters from Times Square in New York City. Musical acts include pop singer Andy Grammer and country music star Lauren Alaina.
“Breaking Bad Marathon” (2 p.m., AMC): To celebrate the acclaimed drama series, AMC is giving viewers the chance to relive their favorite Walt and Jesse moments with a complete series marathon beginning today. Every episode of the series will air in chronological order on Saturdays and Sundays through January.
“The Simpsons New Years Eve Marathon” (6 p.m., FXX): Ring in the new year with Homer, Marge and the whole gang from Springfield. The event starts with “The Simpsons Movie” at 6, followed by 10 hours of episodes beginning at 8.
