While there was no Powerball jackpot winner Saturday night, there was a $1 million ticket sold by the New Jersey Lottery.
New Jersey's $1 million winner on Saturday night was able to match all five winning numbers -- 28, 36, 41, 51 and 58 -- but did not have the Powerball, which came up 24. The odds on that ticket were 11,688,053.52 to 1, according to the Powerball website. The other two states with $1 million tickets were New Hampshire and Iowa.
Another ticket sold in New Jersey matched four of the five numbers and had 24 as the Powerball, meaning two tickets sold in the Garden State were a single number away from the $384 million year-end jackpot.
A Powerball tickets cost $2 each for a single play. Your odds of hitting the jackpot are 292,201,338 to 1. Players have roughly a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to win the second prize of at least $1 million.
