A PEDESTRIAN was rushed to hospital after a car crashed into him while he was out walking with friends.

Police are appealing for information following the collision in Locks Road, Locks Heath, which left a 33-year-old man requiring hospital treatment.

Officers were called shortly before 12.45am on Sunday, December 3, to reports of the crash between a car and a pedestrian.

The man suffered injuries to his forehead, leg and shoulder and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham for treatment.

Police say that the man was walking with friends when the incident happened and the vehicle, which was believed to be red, failed to stop.
