PM announces nation-wide survey Swachh Survekshan from New Year’s inception

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a nationwide survey to be undertaken from 4th January to 10th March 2018 in his ‘Man Ki Baat’ will cover more than 4000 towns and 40 crore people. The ‘Swachh Survekshan’ survey, world’s largest survey, 2018 will be initiated to assess various parameters of cleanliness like assessing the status of ODF (Open Defecation), collection of garbage, efforts for Behavorial change etc. The PM has also pledged to gift ‘Swachh Bharat’ on Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th Birth anniversary in 2018 to make Gandhi’s wish come true. The PM has appealed to every citizen to participate hugely in the cleanliness survey.
