With New Year’s Eve looming most of you will be busy planning how you’re going to celebrate seeing in 2018.
Most of you will be going out to with friends or family, but for those of you hosting a party are you prepared?
You don’t want to be setting out at the last minute to buy food and drink only to find the shops are closed.
So here’s a handy guide to shopping centres and supermarkets that have announced their festive opening times.
Shopping Centres
intu Eldon Square and Metrocentre

The shopping centres are both open from 11am till 5pm on New Year's Eve, with Grey's Quarter restaurants in Eldon Square open until 10pm.
Supermarkets
Asda

Stores are open from 10am until 4pm on New Year's Eve - normal Sunday opening hours.
Sainsbury’s
As with Asda, normal Sunday hours closing at 4pm.Tesco

Tesco Extra stores and large supermarkets close at 4pm as usual on a Sunday but Express stores are open longer.
Morrisons

Open from 10am until 4pm.
Waitrose

Larger stores open at 10am and close at 4pm in keeping with Sunday trading but the smaller Jesmond store is open until 5pm.
Marks & Spencer

The Silverlink and Team Valley branches are open 10.30 to 4.30 while the Newcastle city centre branch is open from 10.30 until 5pm.
The Metrocentre M&S is open from 11-5pm.
Gosforth Simply Food closes at 4.30 while Cramlington closes at 4, as does Kingston Park.
The Central Station branch is open from 8am until 6pm.
Aldi

Open as normal on a Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
