EAST RUTHERFORD - On the first full day on his new job, Giants general manager Dave Gettleman began the house cleaning both he and ownership promised.
Gettleman has dismissed vice president of player evaluation Marc Ross, the team announced, and a source told The Record and NorthJersey.com on Saturday morning that the Giants are waiving right tackle Bobby Hart to promote rookie Adam Bisnowaty from the practice squad.
The Giants confirmed those moves involving Hart and Bisnowaty later Saturday.
Bisnowaty is expected to start in Sunday's finale against the Washington Redskins at MetLife Stadium, while rookie Chad Wheeler will start at left tackle for Ereck Flowers, who is listed as questionable with a groin injury.

Ross, who was interviewed by the Giants for the GM job, has been with the franchise since 2007. He was believed to be the right hand man for now-fired GM Jerry Reese, and in his position, Ross was in charge of the Giants' drafts.
“I worked with Marc when I was with the organization before,” Gettleman said in a team release. “I have great respect for him and high regard for his work. Clearly, we’re going in a different direction, but that doesn’t make these kinds of decisions any easier.”
Hart has started 21 games since he was selected by Reese and Ross in the seventh round of the 2015 draft. He declared himself "the best right tackle in the league" this summer, but struggled mightily and was ultimately replaced at the position when Justin Pugh moved from left guard to right tackle.
Hart was also considered one of the more disruptive players in the locker room whose level of confidence did not match that of his play. ESPN reported Saturday that Hart informed the coaching staff that he would not be playing this week. He was added to the injury report Friday with an ankle issue.
As for Flowers, the 23-year-old 2015 first-round pick has improved, but not hardly fast enough. There is question as to what his future with the Giants will be with one season left on his contract. At this point, it's highly questionable the Giants will pick up his fifth-year option and his future is obviously clouded.
