Real Madrid are keen to land a new Galactico following their dismal first half of the La Liga season that leaves them 14 points behind leaders Barcelona.

Club president Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane are keen to land the Belgian and are doing all they can to convince him to join.

Eden Hazard is even stalling on signing a new contract offer from the Blues as he waits to receive a proposal from Los Blancos.

And with the wheels in motion to bring the 26-year-old to the capital, not everyone at the Bernabeu is ready to welcome him with open arms.

Spanish publication Diario Gol claim the Portuguese does not want Hazard to join at the risk of becoming the club’s new talisman.

They claim Zidane and Hazard have been in contact via phone with the pair already striking up a close relationship.

And Ronaldo is reportedly furious at the club making plans behind his back to dethrone him as the club’s main man.

Ronaldo sees Hazard as a threat to his throne and would rather the club sing a lower profile player such as Goncalo Guedes.

Guedes is currently on loan from PSG at Valencia and has been linked with a move to Real.

However, it seems Zidane and Perez are willing to risk angering Ronaldo further with their plans to push ahead with securing Hazard’s signature.

Hazard is currently under contract with the Blues until 2020.
