LAST MINUTE PREP: The heist is set to kick off on Monday

Viewers already know that Aidan has gifted his men firearms over the festive period.

Aidan was also spotted loading a revolver in the brand new New Year's Day trailer.

Could a gun be used to take down one of the members in a sick twist?

Aidan warned: "I need you to be prepared at a moments notice."

In a later scene, Vincent told Mick: "We got to look out for each other because I don't trust Phil or Aidan."

Naturally it wasn't long before EastEnders fans took to Twitter with their conspiracies by the bucketload.

One person tweeted: "Something's telling me that Vincent will get killed of New Year's day and the job will go horribly wrong. Hope not."

"I have a feeling that Vincent is gonna die on New Years," continued another.

A third posted: "Vincent's time is up, isn't it?"

TROUBLE AHEAD: The heist doesn't go to plan

"I reckon when Phil Mitchell dies, it'll be ironic. All those times he gets shot and he'll probably die by falling over," added one.

The Square has already been devastated by gun crime this year.

Audiences will remember that Jonny Carter was shot by Ted Murray in the aftermath of the gas explosion.

Surely not another Carters life will hang in the balance?
