Power sector expert

Jeff Pollard appointed as Managing Director, PJSC
Peter J Solomon Company (PJSC) recently appointed Jeff Pollard as its Managing Director. Pollard will join the Infrastructure & Power Group and will lead its power and renewables business. With over fourteen years of experience in the sector, Pollard was earlier engaged as the Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co, where he led the unregulated power generation business for almost a decade.

Mr. Pollard's experience in the power and renewables sector includes strategic and financial advisory work totalling well in excess of $100 billion. Representative transactions include advising American Electric Power on the sale of its 5.2GW portfolio of coal and gas facilities to a Blackstone and ArcLight joint venture for $2.2 billion; advising First Reserve Infrastructure on the sale of its North American Power portfolio to an investor consortium (financial terms not disclosed); advising MACHGen on its sale to Talen Energy for $1.2 billion; advising Energy Capital Partners on the sale of its EquiPower portfolio to Dynegy, Inc. for $3.5 billion; and advising Constellation Energy Group on its merger with Exelon Corp., which created the largest competitive energy provider in the U.S.
