SRM University won the South Zone Inter-university men’s volleyball tournament

CHENNAI: SV Hasini of SDAT Dolphin clocked 00:49:47s and created a new meet record in 50m breast stroke event in the girls Group V segment of the 29th winter  state aquatic championship. Pramiti Gnanasekar of ASP set a new mark in 25m freestyle event in the Girls Group VI category with a timing of 00:17.26s.

Ganesh shines

S Ganesh’s unbeaten 50 paved the way for Don Bosco to beat Nellai Nadar by 10 wickets in the semifinals of the junior Super Kings inter-school T20  championship on Friday.

Brief scores: Semifinals: PSBB Millennium 100 in 19.5 ovs (Vikram Satheesh 34; Ram Arvindh 3/12) lost to AVM Rajeshwari 102/3 in 14.4 ovs (Ram  Arvindh 44, A Magesh 28). Nellai Nadar 96/9 in 20 ovs lost to Don Bosco 100/0 in 13.3 ovs (S Ganesh 50 n.o, V Abishek 43 n.o).
