Pune: The Sahakarnagar police have served notices to the parents of three minor students booked for molesting a girl at a school, asking them to produce their wards before the juvenile court on Monday for filing the chargesheet.

The three boys molested the 13-year-old girl on finding her alone in a classroom around 2.30pm on Thursday. Meanwhile, a friend of the girl pushed open the classroom door, prompting the suspects to take to their heels. "Soon after the incident, the girl reported about it to her teacher. The teacher informed the school authorities about the incident, following which parents of the girl and boys were summoned to school," inspector A T Waghmale of the Sahakarnagar police said.

The school's sexual harassment committee conducted a preliminary inquiry, after which the girl was counselled and her parents were advised to lodge an FIR. "We have registered a complaint under sections 354 of the Indian Penal Code and 11 (4) and 12 of the POCSO Act against the boys," he added.
