EL PASO, Texas (AP) — Trey Wade scored a career-high 16 points and UTEP pulled away midway through the second half to beat cold-shooting Rice 80-62 on Saturday night.
Connor Cashaw's 3-pointer gave Rice a 39-34 lead with 17:32 left. Wade scored 10 points and Isiah Osborne added six during a 27-9 run, and the Miners led 61-48 with 6:37 remaining and cruised from there.
