A Palm Bay police officer was struck in her patrol cruiser Friday, police said.
The crash happened about 7:49 p.m. at the intersection of Palm Bay Road and Babcock Street, said police Lt. Steve Bland. The officer was en route to an emergency call and had her lights and sirens on as she passed through the intersection, Bland said.
The other vehicle did not yield to the cruiser and crashed into it, Bland said.
The officer and two passengers in the other car were hospitalized for minor injuries, Bland said. Names were not available Saturday.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
