Dimapur, Dec. 30 (EMN): Chief Minister TR Zeliang on Saturday announced an ex-gratia of INR 10,20,000 to the 102 households whose houses were burned down on Friday’s fire incident at Burma Camp in Dimapur.
“While donating Rs. 10,20,000 as immediate relief for the affected families which was handed over to the district administration, the chief minister termed the incident as ‘very unfortunate’. A total of 102 families who lost their homes to the ravishing fire would get Rs. 10,000 each from the amount…,” stated a press note from the chief minister’s office.
This was announced during a spot verification at the site of the disaster where he assured the affected families and the elders of the area that ‘all possible measures would be taken up.’
The chief minister also instructed the district administration and the state’s disaster management agency to ‘immediately start assessing the ground realities for further necessary actions.’
