Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez has made SEVEN changes to his starting XI as the Magpies go in search of only a second win in 12 games at home to Brighton today.
Rob Elliot is ruled out with a thigh injury and is replaced by Karl Darlow, while Ciaran Clark replaces Chancel Mbemba to partner Jamaal Lascelles in central defence.
DeAndre Yedlin remains at right back, but Javier Manquillo makes way for Paul Dummett at left back.
In a totally recalled midfield, Jonjo Shelvey, Jacob Murphy, Rolando Aarons and Mo Diame all drop to the bench as Isaac Hayden and Mikel Merino return in the centre of the park and Matt Ritchie and Christian Atsu take their places on the wings.
Up front, Joselu keeps his place and is partnered with Dwight Gayle.
Chris Hughton’s Brighton side line up with Ryan in goal, Bruno, Duffy, Dunk, Bong in defence, while Knockaert, Stephens, Propper, March and Gross play in midfield with Murray up front.
A defeat for Newcastle would be their sixth successive loss at St James’ Park and their worst run at home since 1953. ut a win would mark Benitez’s 150th win in the Premier League, leaving him third only behind Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger when it comes to top-flight victories.
