Police: Man arrested in Putnam for sexually assaulting minor

PUTNAM- A 29-year-old man was arrested on sexual assault charges in Putnam on Thursday, police said.

According to a press release from the Putnam Police Department, Shane Siegrest, of no certain address, was taken into custody at 9:44 p.m after an investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a minor. Siegrist was arrested for second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, police said.

He was held on a $150,000 court set bond and was scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on Friday.
