Days after the official campaign ends, officially on Christmas day, donations to Times Charities continue to arrive.

These contributions feel as if we've found extra presents under the tree while we're putting the decorations away.

Truth be told, donations to Times Charities arrive all through the year. Supporters often designate Times Charities in obituaries, in lieu of flowers, and give to the newspaper's charity in honor of loved ones for birthdays and anniversaries.

Donations come throughout the year, and so does the need for Times Charities. The hundreds of people throughout our community who need the assistance don't just fall on hard times during the holidays. Someone is struggling every day of the year.

We are so blessed that you thought of us at Christmas. Indeed, this is when we receive most of the overwhelming generosity you bestow. We are so grateful.

It still feels like Christmas here.

Times Charities, whose annual campaign runs during Christmas, is a nonprofit created by the Times Record News more than 20 years ago, raises money during the holiday season to address financial woes throughout the calendar year.

The charity partners with Grace Ministries, Faith Mission, Interfaith Ministries and The Salvation Army. Times Charities also helps area veterans get back on their feet.

Donations to Times Charities go to the four partners: Faith Mission, Interfaith Ministries, The Salvation Army and Grace Ministries in Burkburnett.

Overhead expenses are not paid from donations.

No money is spent from the Times Charities account until the situations of those seeking help are verified by our partners.

Donations can be made in the form of cash, checks and debit or credit cards. Online donations are also welcome through http://www.wfacf.org/donate-now/donations-online/

Make checks payable to Times Charities/WFACF, and mail them to 2405 Kell #100, Wichita Falls, TX 76308.
