Bus owner in cahoots with pickpockets nabbed by police

Hanumanganj police have nabbed owner of a city bus on the charge of helping pickpockets in return of equal share in stolen valuables; two members of the gang were nabbed on Thursday.

The third accused Mohammad Salman (25) who went absconding after the two pickpockets Faisal and Rehan were nabbed.

The two accused confessed that they used to provide share to bus owner after stealing valuables from the passengers.

On Thursday the victim Rinku Sharma boarded city bus for Kamla Nehru College on Hoshangabad road his wallet was stolen.

In his complaint, with the Hanumanganj police victim stated that when he boarded a city bus bearing registration number MP 04 H 8901 two youths pushed him and later he found that his purse carrying Rs 1500 and Aadhar card was stolen and asked the names of the two with the driver of the bus. The two were identified as Rehan and Faisal and were later nabbed.

In another case, Hanumanganj police have nabbed a 34-year-old man from Irani Dera on Thursday, as was wanted in case of extortion registered in November, 2017.

 The accused Ghulam Abbas alias Panthar was absconding while Zohra Bi, Mukhtar and Taufeeq were nabbed earlier in the case.

Meanwhile Koh-e-Fiza police have nabbed a 19-year-old youth and recovered three country-made pistols from his possession at Halalpur bus stand on Thursday.

The accused identified as Amit Sahu was nabbed and three country-made pistols and magazine were recovered from his possession.

Police registered a case under section 25 and 37 of the Arms Act after the accused failed to provide license.
