RICHMOND, Ind. – In the end, the Irish got it done for their teammate.
Armaan Franklin was named tournament MVP and Jarron Coleman also made the All-Tournament team as IBCA No. 10-ranked Cathedral defeated Class A No. 2 Tindley 64-50 to win the 11th annual Bob Wettig Memorial Tournament at Richmond High School’s Tiernan Center.
Connersville defeated Richmond 62-33 in the third-place game.
The Irish were inspired to win for junior James Franklin, who was injured during the tournament's opening game, as head coach Jason Delaney demonstrated in a photo he tweeted out of James Franklin next to the championship trophy.
