The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has finally decided to give a U/A certificate to the film ‘Padmavati’. The film makers were asked to make modifications and changes in the released song ‘Ghoomar’ and add disclaimer over not glorifying the practice of Sati.

As per the guidelines, CBFC chairman Prasoon Joshi reports of 26 cuts, appearing in a section of media, are not authentic. “They must have counted the incorrect spellings of some locations for which changes had been suggested,” he clarified, adding, “There are no cuts, only modifications.”

The committee consisted of the regular examining committee members along with the CBFC officials and a special advisory panel. It was held in the presence of Mr. Joshi. The movie was supposed to be released on 1st of December, 17 but, due to some glitches the movie was pushed back.
