Henry R. 'Butch' Barcikowski

Henry R. “Butch” Barcikowski, 86, of Unionville, husband of the late Josephine (Manocchio) Barcikowski, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017.

Born June 13, 1931, in Bristol, son of the late Joseph V. and Sadie (Rutkowski) Barcikowski, he lived at the family farm, Farmington Line Dairy until the mid-1940s. Prior to retiring, Henry was employed at Stanley Plating, Hurley Manufacturing and JB Williams. He retired from Teamsters 677 and 671. He was also associated with Barcikowski Farm on Camp Street in Farmington, which was owned by his son, Henry M. “Butchie” Barcikowski, until 2001.

Henry is survived by his two daughters, Linda B. Masse and her husband Wayne and Donna Bailey and her companion Kendall Roberge; grandson, Bill Barcikowski, whom he regarded as a son, and his wife Kelsey; his daughter-in-law, Maryann Kruphowies and her husband Stan, and his “angel,” his granddaughter, Casey Barcikowski; his best friend, companion and our “Bonus Mom,” Lois Cullina of Bristol; and his comfort angel, friend and neighbor, Marie Peichert of Unionville. He was predeceased by his son, Henry M. “Butchie” Barcikowski. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Connecticut Hospice in Branford for the love, care and peace that they gave to dad and our family.

Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Route 4, Unionville, on Friday, Jan. 5, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be held in the spring.
