The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office recently dispatched the following calls:
12/11
- At 8:11 a.m. caller advised his son showed up acting like he was on something. Requested officer to respond because he didn’t want to leave him there with his wife. Deputy Cochrane responded.
- At 10:12 a.m. caller advised her son was hit and choked this morning in Swifton. She wanted someone to go to the school and do a report. Swifton Chief Moody responded.
- At 10:34 a.m. caller advised he received a call stating that caller owed money to a credit card and he doesn’t have a credit card. Caller was advised to report to the Attorney General as well.
- At 11:06 a.m. caller advised EMS was needed to residence due to a male not knowing who he was. Deputy Cochrane responded.
- At 11:14 a.m. State Police Troop B advised of a southbound vehicle in the northbound lane from the 102 mile marker. Capt. Morales responded and advised vehicle was gone.
- At 12:38 a.m. caller advised she wanted to speak to an officer about making a report of subject stalking and harassing her family. She advised that it’s been going on for a month. She advised she would come in to make a statement this weekend. Deputy Cochrane was advised.
- At 1:32 p.m. caller advised of a fire on Hwy. 37 E. Tuckerman officer advised.
- At 3:11 p.m. Newport Police Department paged out Erwin Fire Department to Jackson Road 16 for a field fire that was trying to get in the woods.
- At 3:28 p.m. Tuckerman officer advised they needed Tuckerman Fire Department to corner of Hazel and Third Street for a fire. Tuckerman Chief Collom responded.
- At 4:46 p.m. Newport Police Department requested Diaz officer to respond to officer’s residence in reference to a trespasser.Diaz officer responded.
- At 5:54 p.m. caller advised that her parents were gone and she believed a known subject was in their shed. Swifton Chief Moody and Tuckerman officers responded.
- At 6:10 p.m. caller advised she heard subject’s name over the scanner and she would like to know what was going on. Sgt. Long was advised of traffic and advised he would go to residence to speak to caller.
- At 6:21 p.m. caller advised his neighbor is away and no one should be inside the home, but there appears to be a light on in the living room. Deputies Randolph and Dugan responded.
- At 7:08 p.m. caller advised she needed to speak to Swifton Chief Moody to file a report.
- At 7:19 p.m. caller advised he would like to speak to an officer about a subject threatening him. Tuckerman officer responded.
- At 8:39 p.m. Sgt. Schlotzhauer advised of a vehicle needing unlocked at the Swifton gym. Swifton Chief Moody responded.

- At 9:13 a.m. caller advised she was on Hwy. 37 E in Tuckerman and someone had just hit her car. No injuries reported. Tuckerman Officer Collom responded.
- At 10:21 a.m. caller requested to speak to officer about what was going on last night around his grandmother’s house. Tuckerman Chief Collom was advised.
- At 12:05 p.m. Newport Police Department paged out Erwin Fire Department to Jackson Road 16 for a grass fire on the levee. Deputy Cochrane responded.
- At 12:44 p.m. Newport Police Department advised of a grass fire on Jackson 252 off Johnstown Road. Deputy Cochrane responded to see if fire department was needed.
- At 1:54 p.m. Newport Fire Department was paged to fire on Jackson Road 16. Deputy Cochrane responded.
- At 5:11 p.m. caller advised he was told to report when subject was home. Tuckerman officers advised.
- At 5:45 p.m. caller advised his nephew has a felony warrant and was at the residence. Tuckerman officer was advised.

- At 3:42 a.m. Newport Police Department paged EMS for subject having trouble breathing. Deputies Randolph and Dugan responded.
- At 6:40 a.m. Tuckerman officer advised he received a call of a horse walking from Hickory Grove Road northbound. Deputy Green responded.
- At 8:43 a.m. caller advised she needed her running vehicle unlocked. Deputy Green responded.
- At 12:11 p.m. caller advised of four horses loose on Jackson Road 60. Chief Deputy Brock responded.
- 12:14 p.m. caller at Bill’s advised an employee’s family member was in the store causing a scene. They wanted an officer to come ask him to leave. Tuckerman Chief Collom responded. Subject was banned from Bill’s.
- At 1:22 p.m. Newport Police Department paged EMS to residence in Swifton for pregnant female feeling weak. Swifton officer responded.
- At 1:35 p.m. Farmer’s Electric advised they needed an officer to respond to a residence to take a report of stolen services. Deputy Green responded.
- At 2:36 p.m. caller advised someone was dumping trash near his property. Deputy Green responded.
- At 3:38 p.m. Newport Police Department paged out Jacksonport Fire Department for a grass fire. Deputy Green responded.
- At 4:14 p.m. caller advised she had two dogs in her yard getting into her trash. Swifton officer advised.
- At 4:50 p.m. caller advised she would like to speak to an officer in reference to a subject harassing her family. Deputy Billings was advised of traffic.
- At 5:06 p.m. 911 caller advised of a very drunk male subject at the County Line Liquor Store hitting her customers. Swifton units, Tuckerman unit, Sgt. Schlotzhauer, Deputies Billings and Hurst responded. Swifton Chief Moody advised that the subject did not knock anyone out, as they were advised happened.
- At 7:33 p.m. caller advised his dogs were barking in the back and they usually do not bark unless someone is messing in the back. Advised he would like an officer to drive through and check the area, he does not need to speak to the officer. Diaz officer responded.
- At 10:03 p.m. 911 caller advised his son-in-law was missing by the bottoms south of Grubbs. They advised they found his four-wheeler but couldn’t find him. Lt. Sanford and Deputy Hurst responded.
- At 11 p.m. caller advised of a vehicle in the ditch at Holden Conner Corner. Trooper Riley responded.

- At 3:40 a.m. caller advised she could see headlights around equipment on her property. Lt. Sanford responded.
- At 9:01 a.m. clerk at the gas station at the Y advised they ha d a $30 gas drive off. Deputy Green responded.
- At 9:23 a.m. caller advised his niece called her grandpa crying and all they heard was screaming in the background. Deputy Green responded.
- At 11:24 a.m. Newport Police Department paged Tuckerman EMS for a subject who could not move.
- At 5:50 p.m. caller advised of a semi-truck jackknifed across Hwy. 14 just outside of Amagon. Lt. Sanford, Deputy Hurst, Trooper Riley and Highway Police responded.
- At 6:31 p.m. caller requested to have officer check on her parents. Tuckerman officer responded.
- At 6:58 p.m. caller advised of subject burning trash in Jacksonport. Deputy Billings responded.

- At 7:11 a.m. caller advised her vehicle was missing from her residence. Deputy Cochrane responded.
- At 7:50 a.m. caller advised she was behind the vehicle that was reported stolen. All units were advised.
- At 8:09 a.m. caller advised someone was burning on Hwy. 87.
- At 9:31 a.m. caller advised his truck was left at EZ Mart and he went back this morning and someone had slashed his tires. Tuckerman Chief Collom responded.
- At 2:14 p.m. caller advised of fire on the side of the road at Oliphant and you couldn’t see anything. Deputy Cochrane and Chief Deputy Brock responded.
- At 2:51 p.m. caller advised he wanted to speak to an officer. Capt. Morales responded.
- At 3:07 p.m. Newport Police Department advised they had officers out with a man on Hwy. 14 past the four way stop and since it wasn’t in the city they wanted a deputy to responded. Capt. Morales was responding when the police department advised to cancel the call and that everything was okay.
- At 3:31 p.m. caller advised o fa grass fire on Jackson Road 102 that was spreading quickly. Investigator Thomas and Deputy Cochrane responded. Erwin Fire Department responded.
- At 5:41 p.m. caller advised of someone burning at the park in Amagon. Sgt. Long was advised.
- At 7:11 p.m. Newport Police Department advised of a possible house fire at the 80 mile marker. Deputy Randolph responded and advised it was a light on a barn.

- At 7:22 a.m. caller advised her neighbors have thrown their trash in her yard and she would like to speak to an officer. Swifton Chief Moody responded.
- At 9:13 a.m. caller advised of a subject selling pecans on Hwy. 17 blocking traffic view. Deputy Cochrane responded.
- At 9:36 a.m. caller advised his dogs were tied up and the neighbor’s dog came and attacked their dog. His pregnant girlfriend fell and hit her chest trying to stop them. Deputy Cochrane responded.
- At 11:02 a.m. EMS was dispatched for an elderly female having diabetic issues. Tuckerman and White River EMS advised. Deputy Cochrane advised.
- At 2 p.m. caller requested to speak to Tuckerman officer in reference to a pit bull chasing her and her dog on Hwy. 67. Tuckerman officer responded.
- At 4:13 p.m. clerk at Dollar General in Tuckerman advised adult and juvenile males were fighting in the parking lot. Tuckerman officer responded.
- At 4:14 p.m. 911 caller advised Newport Police Department they were female party in domestic at Dollar General and male subject was driving to his residence.
- At 4:17 p.m. male party of domestic at Dollar General advised he wanted to file a report against his son because he wanted him to understand he couldn’t just hit him. Tuckerman officer responded.
- At 5:03 p.m. caller advised she had a Christmas yard light stolen from her lawn last night. Deputy Randolph responded.
- At 5:57 p.m. caller from earlier domestic requested officer to meet her for a civil standby so she could pick up her child and some property. Tuckerman officer responded.
- At 7:11 p.m. caller advised he received report of location of stolen vehicle. Deputies Randolph and Dugan and Sgt. Long responded.
- At 8:02 p.m. Deputy Dugan advised he was responding to Ja. 8 for possible poacher. Game and Fish officer was dispatched.
- At 8:03 p.m. Newport Police Department advised they received a 911 transfer call from Walnut Ridge advising of reckless driver on Hwy. 67 southbound from Alicia. Deputy Randolph responded.
- At 10:22 p.m. Newport Police Department advised Newport EMS to respond to residence in reference to subject struggling to breathe. Second 911 caller advised subject not breathing, unable to find pulse. Deputies Randolph, Dugan, Sgt. Long and Inv. Thomas responded to assist.
- At 10:38 p.m. caller advised of large juvenile party with alcohol and young children were present. Deputy Dugan responded.

- At 12:31 a.m. subject called and advised he received call of vehicle in ditch. Deputy Dugan and Inv. Thomas responded.
- At 3:23 a.m. caller advised that vehicle previously reported stolen was driving by his house and waking him up. Deputies Dugan, Randolph, Sgt. Long and Inv. Thomas responded.
- At 9:23 a.m. Newport Police Department advised of a fully engulfed structure fire on Hwy. 18. Deputy Cochrane and Diaz unit responded.
- At 12:54 caller advised of a suspicious vehicle. Deputy Cochrane responded.
- At 1:15 p.m. caller advised his neighbors across the street were fighting. Diaz officer responded.
- At 2 p.m. Newport Police Department advised they were dispatching Bradford Fire Department to Jackson Road 6 for a vehicle fire. The caller advised his vehicle that was vandalized last week has been set on fire. Deputy Cochrane responded.
- At 6:01 p.m. clerk at the gas station at the Y requested officer to unlock a vehicle. Deputy Randolph responded.
- At 6:30 p.m. caller requested officer to EZ Mart in Tuckerman due to his ex threatening to kill him. Tuckerman officer and Deputy Dugan responded.
- At 8:20 p.m. caller requested officer to her residence in Diaz due to the back glass of her vehicle being broken. Diaz officer responded.
- At 9:12 p.m. nurse at Unity Health requested officer to take report of dog bite from pet. Deputy Randolph responded.
