Nicola Thorp, who stars as Pat’s (played by Conor McIntyre) daughter, teased that she will team up with the father of her unborn child Gary Windass (Mikey North) to uncover his secrets. 

“Let’s just say the net is closing in on Phelan, and Gary and Nicola join forces to figure out what he’s hiding!” the soap star spilled.

“Our own little Coronation Street drama is beginning to unfold, and Nicola means business. Meanwhile, her baby bump is getting bigger and bigger…”

The actress went on to add that her character isn’t surprised when she finds out the full extent of Phelan’s exploits. 

She told Inside Soap: “If anyone found out the true extent of what Phelan has been up to, I think they run a mile - but not Nicola. 

“There are other people involved, and Nicola will stand up for what is right and do anything it takes to finally bring her father to justice - even if she’s heavily pregnant at the time!”

Nicola’s plans to take down her father will no doubt come as a surprise to Phelan and will surely leave him questioning who he can rely on. 

It comes as it was revealed that Eileen (Sue Cleaver) looks set to expose her husband when Seb Franklin (Harry Visioni) spills all on his fall. 

When she later rummages through his toolbox she is left stunned by what she finds. Will she turn him into the police or will she confide in Nicola?
