LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska (10-5) took advantage of a Stetson (7-8) cold spell late in the second half for a 71-62 win Friday.
After Luke Doyle tied the game at 48 with a 3-pointer at the 9:15 mark, the Hatters missed their next nine shots and the Huskers raced out to a 58-48 lead with 4:25 to go.
Stetson's Divine Myles had a game-high 17 points to go with nine rebounds, three assists and two steals. Abayomi Iyiola had 15 points and nine rebounds.
The Hatters host Florida Memorial at 1 p.m. Monday.

BOCA RATON — Stetson (8-7) shot 27 percent in the second half and 32 percent overall in a loss to UMKC (3-10) at the FAU Holiday Classic. "It was probably our worst game of the year. We did not play good at all on either end," Stetson head coach Lynn Bria said. "I am just really disappointed in our effort. I thought before Christmas break, we put a couple of games together, but we really took a step backwards.'' McKenna Beach (16 points) and Brittney Chambers (15 points) led the Hatters.

DAYTONA BEACH — Destiny Arvinger had a game-high 28 points as Daytona State beat Humber. Chrisana Scott (18 points) and Taylor Tucker (10 points) also led the Falcons.
