The Toronto Raptors have suspended forward Serge Ibaka one game for violating team rules, it was announced Friday, after an altercation with a staff member following Wednesday’s loss to Oklahoma City.

“Both parties have apologized,” Raptors president Masai Ujiri said. “We’ve discussed this internally as a team, and we won’t be discussing it any further. Now we’re focused on moving forward together, and we look forward to having Serge back in the lineup.”

Ibaka will miss Friday night’s game vs. Atlanta but should be back on Monday against Milwaukee.

This is Ibaka's second suspension since being traded to the Raptors in February. He was suspended one game in March for throwing punches at Chicago Bulls center Robin Lopez.

The Raptors have been one of the surprises of the East this season, sitting at 23-10 and second place in the conference behind Boston. Ibaka, 28, is averaging 13.8 points and six rebounds per game. His field goal percentage (50.5) is the highest it's been in four seasons.
