The Chilean will not be at the World Cup in Russia next summer and Elneny could not resist rubbing it into his face in front of millions on social media.

Elneny’s Egypt qualified for the tournament for the first time in 28 years after Mohamed Salah scored the winning penalty against Congo in October.

And today Elneny posted a picture on Twitter of himself driving a golf buggy while hanging out of the side.

He insinuated that he was driving to the World Cup in the vehicle and tagged fellow Arsenal team-mates Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi, Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny, Alexandre Lacazette, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Montreal and David Ospina in the tweet.

All of the aforementioned played will represent their respective countries at the World Cup.

But Elneny then mocked Sanchez and said there was no room on the buggy for him.

Elneny wrote: “Who will come with me Russia @MesutOzil1088 @MustafiOfficial  @_OlivierGiroud_ @LacazetteAlex @6_LKOSCIELNY @HectorBellerin @_nachomonreal @D_Ospina1.

“Sorry my friend Sanchez There is no place for you @Alexis_Sanchez.”

Sanchez’s Chile failed to qualify after not picking up a single point from their final four qualification games.

They only needed four points but lost every game to crash out.

Sanchez will instead probably spend the summer sorting out his future as his contract at the Emirates Stadium comes to an end.

That is if he does not depart when the transfer window reopens in January.
