2017, it's been real.

It's New Year's weekend, which means time for sparkly dresses, novelty glasses and time to catch up on your favorite TV and movies before you have to go back to work .

If you're staying in this New Year's or looking for something to watch while you take it easy on New Year's Day, we have five movies and TV shows ready for you to rent or stream that'll help start 2018 the right way.

If you want something to watch while the ball drops: When Harry Met Sally

It just feels right to spend New Year's Eve with Harry and Sally. The classic rom-com also happens to be one of the best New Year's films, as the titular characters work out their relationship at the countdown to midnight. Between Auld Lang Syne, the classic deli scene and a great performance from Carrie Fisher, it feels like the perfect movie to watch while saying goodbye to 2017.

Rent it on Amazon or iTunes.

If you want to feel better about your 2018 goals: Bridget Jones's Diary

Making some ambitious resolutions for the new year? There are few  better to inspire you on your journey than Renée Zellweger's Bridget Jones, who somehow overcomes her own personal, career and romantic struggles.

If you're still in a Star Wars mood after seeing The Last JediSpaceballs

The best time to watch Mel Brooks' spot-on parody of the Star Wars franchise is right after you've seen a Star Wars film. Spaceballs lovingly pokes fun at the space opera, with riffs on its heroes, the Force and its merchandising. It's the kind of movie you'd believe wise-cracking Poe Dameron would enjoy.

Stream it on Hulu on Jan. 1.

If you missed some of the best TV of 2017One Day at a Time

This Netflix sitcom that premiered all the way back in January of 2017 made our list of the 10 best shows of 2017, and now's the perfect time to binge it's 13 episode first season, since Season 2 premieres on Jan. 26. The series follows a single mom and army veteran, her kids, her mother and their hipster landlord. Justina Machado and Rita Moreno give outstanding performances, and the show will make you laugh and cry in most episodes.

If you're looking for a cooking competition with a twist: Cutthroat Kitchen

Cooking shows are great to watch when you're recovering from a night out, but if you're looking for something with an extra dose of tension and wild rules, Cutthroat is one of our favorites. A group of chefs cooks their way through challenges during the episode, but the twist is they're given $25,000 in cash at the start, and the chefs can either hold on to it or use it to buy "sabotages" against their fellow players, like forcing their competitors to cook on a camping stove or without spoons. Chefs only get to walk away with the cash they have left if they win. It's Chopped meets Stratego, and Hulu is adding a new season on Jan. 1 for your binging pleasure.

Stream it on Hulu.
