Dedication for one’s cause leads to a permanent success; and that success is the real expression of the student community, opined Sanjay Kumar Singh, Commission-cum-Secretary, Skill Development & Technical Education, Odisha and CMD, Idco while inaugurating a two-day Parents' Day Celebrations 'Abhibyakti' of the DAV Chandrasekharpur here on Wednesday.
Singh also highlighted the remarkable contribution of Swami Dayanand for national reconstruction and elevation of student power.
School Chairman MM Panda presided over the function and Principal Dr KC Satapathy highlighted the achievements of the students while presenting the school’s annual report. The annual new letter 'BEACON' was inaugurated on the occasion. The meritorious students, teachers and different endowment prizes were handed over by the chief guest.
An extravaganza based on the theme ‘Ek Bharat Srestha Bharat’ and a cultural assimilation of Maharashtra and Odisha ‘Sangam’ were the highlights of the cultural programmes. Over 1,000 students also showcased their talents in Odishi, Aakal Bhodan, Lavani, Indra Dhanu Ra Rang Chori, Maratha ka Veerputra Shivaji Raj Bhonsley, Sur Lahari and Rocking Jack witnessed, among others, by Basanta Manjari Satapathy, Maj Gen BK Mohapatra, other Principals of DAV institutions and more than 3,000 parents. Coordinator Indira Bhattacharya offered a vote of thanks.
