Wintry mix possible early Sunday morning in Tuscaloosa

Tuscaloosa County could experience a wintry mix of precipitation early Sunday morning, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.

The weather service says the wintry mix could begin as early as 3 a.m. or as late as 3 p.m. Sunday. Icy patches could develp on roads or elevated surfaces, so drivers are advised to be extra cautious.

Saturday night will begin a stretch of bitter cold weather in the Tuscaloosa area, with a low temperatures predicted to dip to 28 degrees. Sunday will be overcast with a high temperature of 34 and a low of 19.

Monday will be partly cloudy with a high temperature of 33 degrees and a low of 16 degrees.
