Australia felt the pressure early at the start of the second session with England taking the new ball immediately. Stuart Broad and James Anderson troubled Steve Smith and Mitchell Marsh. But, the duo played out the early danger and then started going about their business. While Smith kept one end safe, Marsh ensured he also sticks it out in the middle with his skipper. The left handed-batsman played an innings unlike him and scored just 10 runs in 97 balls. Meanwhile, the Australia captain went on to reach 87 runs by Tea and took Australia’s total 225/4, with a lead of 61 runs by the close of the second session. With the match clearly heading for a draw, the final session seems to be all about Smith’s 23rd Test hundred. Can he do it once more in this Ashes series?
