Emmerdale star slams soap following final scenes in epic takedown: 'That's savage'

EMMERDALE is saying goodbye to several major characters over the next few weeks.

Adam Thomas, who plays Adam Barton, is set to leave the soap this week after he took the blame for the murder of Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney).

Emma was really killed by Adam's mum Moira (Natalie J Robb), who has been struggling with her guilt ever since.

But as Adam had some of his final scenes in last night's episode, fans tweeted him their disappointment that he hadn't been featured enough.

    One told him: "Can I just say how gutted I am that even in your last week, emmerdale aren’t giving you the air time you deserve. You are an extremely talented actor and I wish you all the best for the future."

    Adam replied: "I'm used to it but thanks anyway... just to be part of that show is good enough for me."

      Adam shortly said: "Leaving."

      His savage response got a strong reaction from fans, with some finding it hilarious, and others labelling him as bitter.

      A fan replied to him: "Hahaha ouch SAVAGE, I'm dying, going to miss you so much."
