This from newly minted Rep. John Curtis showcases how the right wing has become absolutely brain dead: “The debate has centered on big vs. small rather than protecting the right areas in the right ways,” said in reference to President Trump acting like he has any idea what he did at the Utah Capitol on Dec. 4.
Yes, ignore the fact that the Antiquities Act has worked wonderfully well for the country for over 100 years. How do we know this? Look at the politics of the situation for the answer. If surviving a hundred years of political battles is not the test of time, then what is? So we get to the present, and Curtis, et al., like what the pervert in chief just bribed them with and all of a sudden we’ve been laboring for the past century under “a failed process.”
Clinton and Obama did the same thing that every president for the last 100 years has done, and Utah Republicans screamed bloody murder. Then Trump (yes, the Trump that the Utah delegation tried to sabotage at the convention just last year) comes along, gives them all a big wet kiss on the mouth, and the whole lot of them are ready, able and willing to jump into bed with him.
No, our Utah Republicans have always been whores. The only thing that has ever been in question is what their price is. (I mean, Curtis didn’t even hold out for a first date.)
