New Delhi, Dec 29: A minor has been apprehended for allegedly raping a 65-year-old woman near Sainik Farms in South Delhi. The teenager has been sent to juvenile welfare centre for counselling. The crime reportedly took place on Monday at an open plot. A complaint has been filed, in the matter, at Neb Sarai police station.
As per the complaint of the woman, employed as a household help, the 15-year-old boy allegedly forced him upon her when she was taking bath. Further she accused the boy of allegedly gagging and assaulting her as she screamed for help. The teenager also threatened to harm her if she confided in anybody.
Initially, the family of the accused, after the police traced him, tried blaming someone else for the crime. However, the teenager admitted to the crime.
The accused is the son of a caretaker who works at a plot. Meanwhile, the woman belong to Chhattisgarh. She had been staying in Delhi for the past few years while her son and daughter live in the village.
