Congratulations on a fifth consecutive bowl appearance, Colorado State University!
Go Rams!

The on-campus stadium is slowly growing on this Hughes Stadium devotee. I would’ve sprung for seat backs for all and for more seats, period, but game day traffic hasn’t been the nightmare I would’ve bet money it would be. I don’t understand why we can’t bring in factory-sealed water bottles, but what I really don’t get is why on third down we’re ch-ch-choosing to blow a train whistle.

Isn’t this incredibly ironic, considering how badly we seem to want our downtown free from train horns? Bring back the gong, I say!

Oh, and you don’t have to make fans stay in the stands; real Ram fans wouldn’t dream of leaving until after that last cannon blast. We’re the ones who actually saw the Rams’ miraculous comeback in the 2013 New Mexico Bowl from the stands, not the hotel. We witnessed defeats in Las Vegas and at the inaugural Arizona Bowl. We even went to Boise last December, ate their endless famous fries, and stayed to the bitter end, despite the bitter cold.

Why? Because we know our presence makes a difference for we feel it, we see it. We are the 12th Ram. Our devotion is intensely uncritical, win or lose.

But, man, who thought those white spiny Ram horn helmets were a good idea?

Fight on, you stalwart Ram team, fight, fight, fight!
