EAST PEORIA — There will be no meeting of the East Peoria City Council on Tuesday. Although the council meets the first and third Tuesday of every month, the meeting scheduled for Jan. 2 has been canceled.

The council will conduct its first regular meeting in 2018 at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, in the Council Chambers in the Civic Complex, 401 W. Washington St.

City offices will also be closed Monday, Jan. 1, and Tuesday, Jan. 2, for the New Year holiday. There will be no garbage or recycling collection on Jan. 1. The collection for the week will start on Tuesday, Jan. 2, and continue through Saturday, Jan. 6.
