Kabir Ikramul Haque new BARC chairman

Dr Md Kabir Ikramul Haque joined Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) yesterday as its executive chairman.

Kabir served as the member director (fisheries) and director of project implementation unit (NATP Phase-II) in the same organisation, said a press release.

He began his career as scientific officer at Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institute (BFRI), Mymensingh on February 28, 1987 and subsequently joined BARC as principal scientific officer (fisheries) on February 7th, 2007. 

He graduated in Fisheries from Bangladesh Agricultural University in 1984.

He obtained PhD in Hydro Biology (Fisheries) from Kharkov State University in Ukraine in 1995.
