Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan dedicated and laid foundation of construction beside development works costing Rs. 820 crore during Antodaya and Swa-Rozgar Mela held at Mandideep on the first death anniversary of the Former Chief Minister Sunderlal Patwa.
He also benefitted 33 thousand persons with the government’s public welfare schemes in the mela.CM Chouhan said that the state government is making devoted efforts for the overall development of the state by following the path shown by late Patwa. Development and public welfare schemes are being carried out in order to bring the state among the leading states of the country.
Bhavantar Bhugtan yojana has been prepared to enable farmers for getting fair prices for their agriculture produces. A difference amount of Rs. 400 crore has been paid to 4 thousand farmers till now under the scheme.
New Samadhan Yojana for Farmers
Moreover, Chouhan stated that a new Samadhan Yojana is being made for the farmers. Under the scheme, opportunity will be given to deposit principal amount on zero percent interest rate to the defaulter farmers.
He further mentioned that government is working on the scheme to make poor, owners of their own houses by providing them residential pattas. Chouhan informed that 5 thousand houses have been approved for the urban poor of Bhojpur area under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Polytechnic in Mandideep beside Colleges in Badi and Sultanpur to be Opened
Chouhan said that e panchayats have been entrusted with the responsibility to auction sand mines in order to create additional income sources for development works in its area. He informed that electricity will be supplied without meter to poor at an average rate of Rs. 200 per month for domestic use.
Moreover, Chouhan stated that a bill has been passed in the assembly to give death penalty to culprits committing heinous crime against women. He made announcement for opening Polytechnic College in Mandideep besides colleges in Badi and Sultanpur.
