The makers of Daavu directed by Rambala who helmed the hit horror comedy Dhillukku Dhuddu have completed the first schedule of Daavu. ‘Kayal’ Chandran and Reba Monica John of Jacobinte Swargarajyam fame play the lead roles in the film, which is said to be a complete laugh riot and is produced by ‘Two Movie Buffs’.
‘Daavu’ team has successfully completed their first leg of shooting and the entire team is said to be very happy with the outcome. Speaking about this, producer Raghunathan says, “We have completed our first schedule. I am thrilled with the planning and execution of our team. It must be noted that Chandran’s ‘Thittam Poattu Thirudura Kootam’ is currently in the post-production stage and will be releasing in the coming months. Chandran is also playing one of the leads in director Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Party.’
Santhosh Dayanidhi is the music director of ‘Daavu’ while Dipak Kumar Padhy is the cinematographer. Praveen K L is the editor, and Remiyan is the Art director for the film. Actors Munishkanth, Livingston, Urvasi, Manobala, Kalyani Natrajan and Bava Lakshmanan play important characters in ‘Daavu.’
Reba Monica has also been signed to play the lead heroine in actor Jai’s Jarugandi produced by Nithin Sathya and Badri Kasturi under their banners of ‘Shvedh’ and Shraddha Entertainment respectively.
On signing Reba for Daavu, the makers had earlier said, “The role of the heroine becomes very vital in any rom-com, and ‘Daavu’ team was scouting for an ideal face for quite some time. Now, we have signed Reba Monica John who made her debut opposite Nivin Pauly. The team believes this addition will add more value and attraction to this already exciting script.”
