Jaipur: The Election Commission has declared the election dates on Thursday for Lok Sabha in Ajmer, Alwar and assembly polls in Mandalgarh district of Rajasthan.

As per the Election Department, the Code of Conduct has been implemented in Ajmer and Alwar. The elections will take place on January 29 and results will be out on 1 February 2018. The announcement for the election will be given on January 3.

Contenders for Ajmer and Alwar region will be able to lodge nominations till January 10. Nomination papers will be investigated on January 11 and names will be withdrawn by January 15. The polls process will be completed by February 3. For the by-elections, VVPET machine from Karnataka and EVM machines will be procured from Uttar Pradesh for polling.
