Jamaat activist stabbed dead in Jhenidah

A local Jamaat-e-Islami activist was stabbed to death by miscreants at Kashipur village in Kotchandpur upazila Friday morning.

A gang of miscreants attacked Rabiul Islam, 45, a resident of Rangiarpota village, around 6am while he was going to Kashipur village after saying his fazr prayers and stabbed indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured, said Biplob Kumar Saha, officer-in-charge of Kotchanpur Police Station.

He was then taken to Kotchandpur Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead, the OC added.
