Minister Mano Ganesan given STF protection

Minister Mano Ganesan says that he had received information that an underworld gang is planning to harm him during the election time.

Speaking to our news team, the Minister said that he informed about it to the President and the President had issued a directive to assign STF protection to him.

The Tamil Progressive Alliance led by Mano Ganesan is contesting for the Colombo Municipal Council at the Local Government election, under the 'United Progressive Alliance', separating itself from the United National Front.

He also accused that certain political parties have nominated relatives of underworld figures to contest for the Colombo Municipal Council.
