CHANDIGARH: A 40-year-old man was critically injured in firing allegedly carried out by his first cousin and uncle outside the district courts complex in Bhiwani on Wednesday afternoon. The incident was fallout of a property dispute between the parties.
The injured, identified as
Subhash Singh of
Sandhwa village, had come to the office of the tehsildar to gather his sale deed of a property.
The bullet, allegedly fired from a country-made weapon, hit Subhash below the temple following which he was rushed to a hospital.

Ajit Singh said a case of attempt to murder (Section 307 of the IPC) and under the Arms Act had been registered against three persons on the complaint of
Mahavir Singh, a relative of Subhash.
Mahavir claimed that Subhash had resumed a civil case against his uncle
Ishwar Singh and first cousin Ramesh regarding some property. The case is under investigation at the court of district revenue officer (DRO), Bhiwani.
According to information, Subhash had come to the office of the tehsildar, which is situated near the district courts complex. When he was parking his motorcycle, three persons came to the spot and one of them fired at Subhash from a close range. All three fled before those present on the spot could react.

CCTV footage from cameras installed near the spot and three persons, who are suspected to be the accused, can be seen chasing the victim. The picture will emerge after we arrest the suspects."
