Million-dollar prize from Windsor ticket remains unclaimed with days until expiry

Someone who bought a Lotto 6/49 ticket in Windsor is about to lose a million dollars. The prize from the Guaranteed Prize Draw of Jan. 11, 2017, remains unclaimed.

Someone who bought a Lotto 6/49 ticket in Windsor is about to lose a million dollars.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is warning that, as of Thursday, there are only two weeks left to claim the prize for the Lotto 6/49 ticket that won the Guaranteed $1 Million Prize Draw of Jan. 11, 2017.

Sold almost a year ago in the Windsor area, this ticket has the Guaranteed Prize Draw number of: 40725564-01.

At 6 p.m. on Jan. 11, 2018, the ticket becomes worthless.

Holders of winning tickets have exactly one year from the prize draw date to validate their win and claim their money.

The person in possession of the ticket with the above Guaranteed Prize Draw number needs to fill out the ticket’s back portion, sign it, and contact the OLG Prize Centre at 20 Dundas St. West in Toronto as soon as possible.

The odds of winning the Guaranteed $1 Million Prize Draw vary with each draw. A winning ticket must match all 10 digits of the draw.
