It’s New Year’s Eve weekend on the Treasure Coast.

That means lots of live music at local venues, plus parties at restaurants, bars and breweries.

But, if you don’t want to wait until midnight to kiss 2017 goodbye, there are some options for daytime celebrations.

The best things to do this weekend are broken down into kid-friendly and adults-only categories.

All these events have one thing in common: no cover charge.

Attend family-friendly events

A Noon Year’s Eve party at Ground Floor Farm from noon-4 p.m. Sunday includes live music, face painting, children’s activities and food and drink specials at 100 S.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Stuart. For more information, call 772-600-4230 or go to www.groundfloorfarm.com.

The third annual Vero Beach Ball with a “Hippie New Year” theme is from 5 p.m. Sunday to 1 a.m. Monday on the north side of the Indian River Mall at 6200 20th St. Bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy fireworks and live music from the mid- to late 1960s.
