Its journals include Nature, the Nature Research journals, the Nature Reviews journals and Nature Communications. Our Editorial Assistants play an important role in supporting the publishing process for this research group.
As an Editorial Assistant you will provide crucial administrative support to authors, editor and reviewers. You will be responsible for managing the processing of manuscripts through our tracking database, ensuring content is processed within suitable timeframes, obtaining relevant rights and permissions, and liaising with colleagues in other departments.
Being an Editorial Assistant for Nature Research is a great opportunity for individuals with a sound understanding of the content we publish to learn all there is to know about how an editorial office operates.
As well as having good administration experience, you will be highly organised, detail conscious and never let a deadline slip. The nature of the role will require you to liaise frequently with others in the team and so clear communication skills are essential. This is an administrative position which would be ideal for someone with some office experience, a genuine passion for science, wishing to start a career in a fast-paced publishing environment.
