Wokha, Dec. 28 (EMN): A two-day 51st general conference of the Ralan Area Students’ Union (RASU) got underway on December 28 at Yampha village with
Dr. C Wothungo Tungoe, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital, Dimapur, as the chief guest.
Exhorting the students, the chief guest expounded that education is not only about reading and writing but growth and progress in individual and to shoulder responsibility for the society. He called upon the students to streamline education like a fruit tree planted to feeds and help other in need.
He also called upon the students to come forward to lead, guide and live an exemplary life in order to elevate the society. He also advised them to have strong relationships with God.
LSU general secretary Ashanthung Humtsoe, in his greetings, highlighted on the concept towards formation of students’ organisation in order to render assistant and protect the rights of the students. He advised the students not to only look for government jobs only but explore their talents and be skilful saying the modern era required capable and experience young people.
Er. KL Moyo, information and publicity secretary of Ralan Area Lotha Hoho, spoke on the theme “Quest for excellence.” He called upon the younger generation to be focused and humble in their endeavour.
