Winter WonderFEST is open from 5 to 9 p.m. daily through Dec. 31.

For its finale, organizers for Winter WonderFEST are hosting a community New Year’s Eve Family Fun closing party at the Christmas Village located at Lewes Ferry Terminal.

The closing party, set for noon to 7 p.m. Jan. 1, is timed to give people a go-to spot to celebrate the coming year with their kids and have time to attend other festivities later in the evening.

There will be face painting and balloon animals from 1 to 4 p.m.; free magic shows at 3, 4, 5 and 6 p.m.; and a free concert from Rick Arzt from 3 to 7 p.m.

New Year’s Eve skating sessions are available at noon and 1, 2, 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. To reserve: wonderfestde.org, 727-0221.

The last day finale also includes a Light Spectacular from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cape Henlopen State Park, featuring 90 holiday displays and drive-throughs and 19 light animations.
